Aaron Maruzzo, MPH has a rich work experience. Aaron began their career in 2013 as a Science Fellow at the Center of Learning in Action in Williams College, where they taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-grade science classes, supervised hands-on science experiments, and supported program development with curriculum-building and professional student-teacher training sessions. In 2016, they were a Summer Research Intern at Northeastern University under the National Science Foundation's Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) program. In 2017, they were a Water Lab Analyst at the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation, a Dining Services Assistant at Williams College Dining Services, and an Intern at the LA Community Health Project, where they exchanged naloxone (Narcan) and clean needle injection supplies at harm reduction sites and conducted on-site client interviews for the CHPLA database. In 2020, they were a Graduate Student at UC Berkeley School of Public Health. In 2021, they were a Special Project Intern at the California Department of Toxic Substances Control, where they led a multidisciplinary team to develop a framework, process, and promotional material for a new SCP initiative, systematically reviewed initiatives that promote safer alternative product development, scheduled and conducted semi-structured interviews with manufacturers of alternatives to PFAS products, and designed a novel process to support businesses with alternatives to problematic chemical-product combinations. Aaron is currently a Research Assistant at Silent Spring Institute.

Aaron Maruzzo, MPH has a diverse educational background. Aaron graduated from Charter Oak High School in 2013 and went on to attend Williams College, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Comparative Literature with a focus on Public Health in 2017. In 2020, they began pursuing a Master of Public Health degree at the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus on Environmental Health. Aaron is expected to complete their degree in 2022.
