John Hemmick

John Hemmick is a highly skilled software security engineer with extensive experience in embedded firmware development and product security. Currently serving as a Senior Software Security Engineer at Silicon Labs since December 2019, John is responsible for customer engineering support regarding Secure Elements, executing product security incident responses, and delivering security training. Previously, John held positions such as Secure Embedded Firmware Engineer at GridPlus, where secure firmware for a cryptocurrency wallet was designed, and Sr. Software Engineer at Silicon Labs, focused on architecting IoT solutions. John's background also includes leading firmware development at Nitero Inc. and Hewlett-Packard, as well as early research and teaching roles at the University of Houston.
