Michael Khazhinsky has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) engineering and design. Michael is currently serving as a Board of Directors member at ESD Association since September 2011. Prior to that, they worked at Silicon Labs as a Principal ESD Engineer/Designer starting from November 2010.
Before joining Silicon Labs, Michael spent over 10 years at Freescale Semiconductor, where they held multiple positions, including ESD Team Lead/Engineer/Designer and Senior Member of Technical Staff from March 2004 to November 2010. Michael also worked as a Technology/Device/Circuit Simulation Engineer from May 1997 to March 2004 at Freescale Semiconductor.
Earlier in their career, Michael had research and teaching roles at Western Michigan University, where they served as a Research Assistant, Research Fellow, and Teaching Assistant from August 1993 to April 1997. In addition, they gained experience as an Engineering Intern at Motorola Semiconductor from May 1995 to August 1995.
Michael's career began as a Research Assistant at Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology - Lebedev Physical Institute of Russian Academy of Science, where they worked from October 1988 to July 1993.
Throughout their career, Michael has developed expertise in ESD engineering, design, simulation, and research.
Michael Khazhinsky obtained their M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from the National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET) in the duration of 1987 to 1993. Later on, they pursued their Ph.D. in Physics at Western Michigan University from 1993 to 1997.
