Tim Sams

Tim Sams is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as a Staff Field Applications Engineer at Silicon Labs since April 2014. In this role, Tim provides technical support to customers and the sales team during both pre- and post-sales stages, assists in integrating Silicon Labs products into customer systems, and conducts product demonstrations and training sessions. Previous roles include Senior Field Applications Engineer and Product Manager for Zigbee and Thread, where Tim influenced the development of software and tools, and led technical interfaces for strategic customers in embedded IoT device development. Tim's earlier experience includes positions at Oso Technologies as an Embedded Systems Engineer, at SolarBridge Technologies as a Firmware Engineer, and internships at Space Exploration Technologies and L-3 Communications. Tim holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Baylor University.
