Anne Im

Senior Director, Community Partnerships at Silicon Valley Community Foundation

As the Director of Community Investment, Anne pursues and strengthens collective partnerships between donors, corporations and the community. She amplifies community issues, and influences and catalyzes capital that has positive community impacts within the region.

Prior to this role, Anne served as the program officer leading SVCF's immigration strategy. She has been working with immigrant communities for more than 20 years. Prior to SVCF, she worked at Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI) in San Jose, where she served in two roles. As Director of Community Programs & Advocacy, she oversaw the organization’s youth, senior, domestic violence, and HIV prevention programs. In this role, she also managed policy advocacy efforts on local, state, and national issues affecting the community. She led an initiative in 2006, to form Santa Clara County’s first Asian Pacific Islander Justice Coalition, a collaborative and rapid response network of nonprofit organizations working on policy and community building efforts. In her role as Director of Development, Anne managed AACI’s fundraising, marketing, and communications strategies.

Her experience includes working in government at both the local and federal level. In Washington D.C., Anne served as legislative staff for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, and locally she served as legislative staff for former San Mateo County Supervisor Rose Jacobs Gibson.

Anne holds a Master's in public policy degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and was a Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) Fellow. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in sociology from Tufts University. She also has experience early childhood education and earned a California State Child Development Site Supervisor Permit.
