Colleen Thomas

Colleen Thomas has a diverse work experience. Colleen currently works as the Director of Data and Strategic Impact at Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF), where they oversee data collection systems, data analysis, and the creation of data reports and visualizations. Colleen also holds the position of STEM Program Director at SVEF, where they have helped expand their summer programs and ensure program fidelity throughout Silicon Valley.

In addition to their work at SVEF, Colleen is a self-published author of a children's book. Colleen founded The Thomas Promise LLC, where they work as a real estate investor. Previously, they served as the Chief Operations Officer at BFit By BT, a personal training company, and worked as a Process Engineer at Bridgestone, where they were responsible for equipment in tire manufacturing.

Colleen's earlier work experience includes interning as an R&D Purification Intern at Lonza Biologics, Inc, and working as a Polymers Co-op at LyondellBasell. Colleen also worked as a Student Research Assistant at Clemson University.

Colleen Thomas attended Clemson University from 2008 to 2013, where they earned a degree in Chemical Engineering with a Biomolecular Concentration. In 2012, they participated in a summer study abroad program at Technische Universität Wien, focusing on Unit Operations Lab. Prior to their university education, they attended Mt St Charles Academy from 2002 to 2008 for their high school/secondary education. Additionally, they completed a summer program at Purdue University in 2007 and the University of Colorado Boulder in 2006. Colleen also holds certifications in Tableau Desktop from Tableau, obtained in 2022, and Six Sigma Green Belt from Clemson University, obtained in 2012.
