Melissa Plageman

Melissa Plageman, MPA, M.A.Ed., currently serves as a 6th Grade Teacher at Burlingame Intermediate School and the Silicon Valley Education Foundation, with previous experience teaching in the San Carlos School District. An educator with a diverse background, Melissa has also contributed to the International Education Exchange Council as a student mentor and served as Communications Liaison Officer for Pi Alpha Alpha, the Global Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration. Melissa has held leadership roles including Vice President and President of the International City/County Management Association, and has experience in communications and event coordination with Bai Brands. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Education and a Master of Public Administration from San Francisco State University, alongside ongoing studies at Aarhus University and NIDA Thailand in Public Administration.
