Mercedes Carbajal

Mercedes Carbajal currently serves as the ASSETs Program Director at the Silicon Valley Education Foundation, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, Mercedes was the Self Sufficiency Director at Sacred Heart Community Service from November 2021 to January 2024. Earlier experiences include serving as the Family Engagement Manager and in Community Development at Downtown College Prep from June 2017 to November 2021, and as the Program Director at Sylvan Learning Center from September 2006 to June 2017. Educationally, Mercedes holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Santa Clara University (2014-2017) and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Spanish from Ripon College (2000-2004), complemented by a high school diploma from Woodside Priory School (1997-2000).
