Brett Boutorwick

Brett Boutorwick is currently a Project Manager at Silicon Valley Mechanical. Brett has been with the company for 5 years and 4 months, and has held titles including Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer. Prior to working at Silicon Valley Mechanical, Brett worked at ACCO Engineered Systems for 4 years and 8 months, where they were a Project Engineer, Design Engineer, and Mechanical Engineering Intern. During their time at ACCO, Brett was responsible for layouts and takeoffs of HVAC systems for bids, managing the design process through permitting and coordination, vetting designs and equipment selections for constructability, managing clash detection efforts for new construction, working with field teams to identify and solve problems due to existing conditions on TI projects, setting up equipment procurement logs, ordering equipment, and tracking deliveries, organizing crane and helicopter lifts, taking part in OAC meetings through construction, working directly with sheet metal, piping, startup, balance, controls, and insulation field teams, working with factory on equipment startup issues, working with 3rd party commissioning agents, generating closeout and warranty documents, and serving as the Mechanical Design Engineer for Design-Build Contractor. Brett has a focus on HVAC design and construction management, and has designed systems including: core and shell tenant improvements, retrofits, labs and cleanrooms, kitchen systems, garages, generator rooms, server rooms, etc.

Brett Boutorwick attended San Jose State University from 2004 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. Brett was involved in Sigma Chi and SJSU Track and Field while they were a student. Brett is now an EIT/FE certified engineer.
