Matthew Gerry

Matthew Gerry, ASP, currently serves as the Electric Program Manager for Safety at Silicon Valley Power, a position held since February 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Safety Officer for the City of Alameda, where responsibilities encompassed the development and management of environmental, health, safety, and security programs, as well as oversight of compliance with multiple regulatory bodies. Matthew's background also includes serving as Health and Safety Manager at NRC National Response Corporation, conducting audits and enforcing safety plans, and working as Safety Technician III at BAE Systems San Francisco Ship Repair, focusing on compliance inspections and safety equipment oversight. Additionally, experience as Lead Safety and Environmental Specialist at Bay Ship & Yacht Co. involved managing EHS Technicians and ensuring safety compliance. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and Safety from Massachusetts Maritime Academy, earned between 2007 and 2011.
