Rana Ahmed

Rana Ahmed has a diverse work experience spanning from 2016 to the present. Their most recent position is with Si-Vision, where they started as a Firmware Engineer in October 2021 and were promoted to Senior Firmware Engineer in April 2023. Prior to that, Rana worked at SPECTRO SYSTEMS as an IoT Embedded Systems Engineer from May 2020 to September 2021. In this role, they were responsible for designing DSP algorithms, developing and optimizing embedded systems firmware, and managing product requirements.

Before joining SPECTRO SYSTEMS, Rana worked at Vision Valley as a System Engineer from October 2019 to April 2020. Their responsibilities included developing software algorithms, aligning with hardware configurations and communication protocols for IoT solutions.

In addition to their technical roles, Rana also has experience in project management and business development. They served as a Project Manager for the ASU Racing Team from August 2018 to September 2019, where they prepared business plans and developed strategic plans for the company. Prior to that, Rana was a member of the Business Logic Case team at ASU Racing Team, where they focused on strategic planning and complementary plans for the company.

During their time at Si-Vision from October 2018 to July 2019, Rana participated in a graduation project mentoring program and worked on the digital electronic design of a low-power 4G IoT transceiver.

Before their engineering roles, Rana gained customer satisfaction experience through internships at Signify in August 2018, Philips Lighting from July 2017 to October 2017, and also held a senior project manager position at Rerum from June 2016 to June 2017.

Rana Ahmed attended Ain Shams University from 2014 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
