Mamuka Shurgaia has a diverse work experience. Mamuka started their career as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young in 2006 and worked there until 2011. Mamuka then joined the Silk Road Group as the Chief Financial Officer in June 2011. The Silk Road Group is a private investment group in Georgia with operations in real estate, telecommunications, energy, and transportation. In 2014, Mamuka became a Member of the Supervisory Board at JSC Silk Road Bank, a financial institution aimed at serving the underbanked parts of Georgian society. In 2016, they also became a Member of the Supervisory Board at Tsinandali Estate, a hotel and event facility located in Tsinandali, known for its wine. Mamuka served on the board until 2017. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Member of the Supervisory Board at Bakhvi Hydro Power LLC, a hydro power plant in western Georgia. Currently, since 2018, Mamuka is a Member of the Supervisory Board at Silknet, one of the largest telecommunication companies in the Caucasus region, providing digital services to almost 2 million customers.
Mamuka Shurgaia completed their education at various institutions. From 2013 to 2016, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Grenoble Ecole de Management. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2006, Mamuka earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance, General from Caucasus University. Furthermore, between 1995 and 2001, they attended N7th Gymnasium of Physics and Mathematics, but the specific degree or field of study pursued during this period is unknown.
