Elgar Alekperov

Elgar Alekperov has a diverse work experience in the legal and corporate affairs field. Elgar started their career in 2001 as the Chief Legal Counsel/Director at AGBank OJSC, where they served until 2020. During this time, they also founded and served as the CEO of AZFINLEX Legal&Finance from 2004 to 2019. In 2002, they briefly worked as the Deputy Director at BHM Law Firm. In 2020, they joined Silk Way Airlines as the Chief Of Department, and in 2021, they moved to Silk Way West Airlines, where they currently hold the position of Vice President Legal and Corporate Affairs.

Elgar Alekperov obtained a Master's degree in Law from Baku State University in 1999. From 1994 to 2001, they pursued another Master's degree in Audit/Finance/Accounting at Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics, and Informatics (MESI). In 2012, Elgar Alekperov attended the University of Cambridge, specializing in Legal Studies, General. Additionally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, although the field of study for this degree is not specified.
