Jaakko Vainio

Jaakko Vainio has a diverse background in technology and leadership roles. Jaakko is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Silo AI, where they focus on delivering world-class AI expertise and overseeing talent matching, acquisition, and development. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Operations and Lead AI Scientist at Silo AI, where they worked on solving clients' business problems with AI and managed resourcing and coaching of the AI team. Jaakko also held the position of Head of AI Solutions, UK at Silo AI. Before joining Silo AI, Jaakko worked as an AI team manager at Silo.AI, where they worked on client projects and internal research and managed the well-being and skills development of the team.

Earlier in their career, Jaakko served as the CEO of Lokus Digital Oy, where they utilized scientific knowledge to solve data-related challenges and developed games. Jaakko was also a Partner at JOKOJO Oy.

Jaakko has experience as an AI scientist, specializing in Natural Language Processing and Recommender Systems. Jaakko has worked on various projects related to game recommendation services and cloud service architecture at the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku.

Before their career in technology, Jaakko worked as a researcher in modified gravity as part of their PhD studies at the University of Turku. Jaakko also served as a Group Exercise Instructor during their time at the university.
