Ossi Lehtikangas

Ossi Lehtikangas is currently a Senior AI Scientist at Silo AI since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Rocsole Inc as a Senior Technology Manager from July 2018 to August 2021, where they developed inspection sensors, software, and AI algorithms for measuring wax deposition and scaling in oil and gas pipelines. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Eastern Finland from September 2015 to June 2017, where they worked on tomographic imaging of velocity fields in multi-phase flows. Ossi also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the same university from January 2015 to March 2015, working on modeling and optimization of radiation therapy treatment planning for cancer. Additionally, they worked as a Researcher for their Ph.D. thesis project at the University of Eastern Finland from February 2010 to December 2014, where they developed computational methods for modeling light propagation in tissue-like media. Ossi Lehtikangas was also a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Merced in 2010, focusing on research related to light propagation in biological tissues. Ossi has previous experience as a trainee and thesis worker at the University of Eastern Finland in various roles.

Ossi Lehtikangas completed their education in a chronological order. Ossi started their academic journey at the University of Eastern Finland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from 2005 to 2009. After that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computational Physics at the same university, which they completed from 2009 to 2010. Finally, Ossi pursued a higher level of education and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Applied Physics (Scientific Computing) from the University of Eastern Finland from 2010 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Ossi Lehtikangas has also acquired additional certifications from Coursera. In April 2018, they completed three courses: "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," and "Structuring Machine Learning Projects." These certifications demonstrate their commitment to staying updated in the field of machine learning and deep neural networks.
