Peter Sarlin

Peter Sarlin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and institutions. Peter co-founded Silo AI in 2017 and currently serves as the CEO and Executive Chairman. Silo AI is a private AI lab that employs over 240 people and specializes in applied AI projects. Prior to Silo AI, Peter held various research roles at institutions such as Aalto University, London School of Economics, Imperial College London, Halle Institute for Economic Research, University of Cape Town, and IEEE. Peter has also served as an associate editor for the Journal of Network Theory in Finance and Intelligent Systems in Accounting, Finance and Management. Peter has expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and their applications in finance, economics, and other disciplines.

Peter Sarlin's education history begins in 2007 when they attended Åbo Akademi University, where they completed a BSc and MSc in Economics. In 2009, they enrolled as a visiting PhD student at Stockholm University. During the same year, they also attended the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for the summer term. From 2009 to 2013, Peter pursued a PhD in Information Systems, specializing in machine learning, at the Turku Centre for Computer Science. In 2010, they participated in the Machine Learning Summer School at The Australian National University.
