Lura Sonre Parrish

Lura Sonre Parrish is an experienced educator currently serving as a 5th Grade Science Teacher at Silsbee ISD since July 2023. Prior to this role, Lura worked at Liberty Public Schools for six years as an Industrial Technology Teacher, where responsibilities included teaching woodworking, engineering, and initiating a STEAM competition. Lura's diverse background includes positions as an Assistant at In The Garden, a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Pittsburg State University, and a Student Teacher at Carl Junction Intermediate School. Lura holds a Master of Science in Career & Technical Education with an emphasis in Technology Education, a Bachelor of Science in Education focused on Elementary Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, all from Pittsburg State University.
