Katja Hänninen

Katja de Gruyter is an experienced Energy and Climate Consultant currently working at Brightspot Climate since July 2020. Prior to this role, Katja served as an EHS Regulatory Analyst at Nimonik from September 2018 to July 2020 and worked as an Environmental Specialist at D&G Envrio-Group from November 2017 to August 2018, where responsibilities included conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. Katja also gained experience as a Climate Change Mitigation Intern at the Ministère de l'Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, contributing to research on environmental regulations. Earlier career positions included web development roles at TD and Aquent from 2004 to 2011. Katja holds a Master of Environment in Environmental Assessment and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with Environmental Specialization, both from Concordia University.
