Alexander Alvarez, CPA, MBA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. Alexander started their career at Savitar Realty Advisors in 1999 as a Senior Accountant and worked there until 2004. Alexander then joined LNR Property Corporation as a Senior Accountant from 2005 to 2008. After that, they worked at ASTAR Air Cargo as an Accounting Manager from 2008 to 2013. In 2013, they joined Touax as the Finance Manager for North & Central America, and stayed there until 2015. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Specialized OnSite Care Management as the Director of Finance. Currently, they are serving as the VP of Finance and Controller at Silver Airways, starting from August 2018.
Alexander Alvarez, CPA, MBA obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Florida International University in 2003. Alexander later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the same university from 2009 to 2010. Silver Airways is a U.S. airline operating daily scheduled flights between gateways in the Southeast U.S., Florida and The Bahamas. The company is owned by Versa Capital Management, LLC, a Philadelphia-based private equity investment firm. Silver Airways is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale (Florida) with a maintenance facility based at Orlando International Airport in Florida. The Silver Airways fleet is comprised of modern, state of the art ATR 600 aircraft with reliable, fuel-efficient turbo-prop engines. In the summer of 2018, Silver completed the acquisition of Seaborne Airlines, a San Juan, Puerto Rico-based air carrier serving destinations throughout Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other countries in the Caribbean. Seaborne provides connections throughout the Caribbean via the carrier’s hub in San Juan, while also serving as the most critical link between St. Croix and St. Thomas with the carrier’s seaplane operation.
