Frank Butler has over 30 years of work experience in the field of pharmacy. Frank began their career as a Resident in Clinical Pharmacy Practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1988. Frank then went on to work as a Resident in Critical Care Pharmacy Practice at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. In 1990, they became a Pharmacotherapist in Critical Care Medicine at Michael Reese Hospital.
In 1997, Frank joined Owen Healthcare as the Clinical Manager/Assistant Director before transitioning to the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy in 1999 as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Frank worked in this role until 2000. Simultaneously in 1999, Frank started working at Cardinal Health, where they held various positions including Clinical Manager, System Director of Pharmacy, and Director of Pharmacy. Frank implemented several programs and initiatives during their time at Cardinal Health.
In 2013, Frank joined Silver Cross Hospital as the Director of Pharmacy Services. Frank was responsible for providing pharmacy leadership and implementing various technological advancements. Frank later became the Administrative Director of Pharmacy, Clinical Dietitians, Respiratory Care, and Sleep Center. Most recently, starting in October 2022, Frank has taken on the role of Administrative Director, overseeing Pharmacy Services and the Outpatient Infusion Center at Silver Cross Hospital.
Throughout their career, Frank has demonstrated expertise in hospital pharmacy management, implementing new systems, and developing cost-saving measures.
Frank Butler completed their education at the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy, earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from 1983 to 1988. Frank later obtained a certification as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) in December 1993.
