Mary Ann Palermo

Mary Ann Palermo has extensive experience in quality and patient safety roles in the healthcare industry. Mary Ann is currently serving as the Director of Quality and Patient Safety at Silver Cross Hospital since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President of Quality at Ascension from April 2022 to November 2022. From 2015 to 2022, Mary Ann held various positions at AMITA Health, including VP Quality & Patient Safety, Associate Vice President, and Regional Director of Quality & Patient Safety. Before joining AMITA Health, they worked at AdventHealth as the Director of Quality, Safety and Emergency & Cardiac Services for over a decade.

Mary Ann Palermo has a Master of Science degree from RUSH University and a Bachelor of Nursing degree from St. Xavier University, Chicago IL. Mary Ann has also obtained the certifications of Certified Professional in Patient Safety from IHI and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).
