Elizabeth Ortiz-Schwartz, MD, DFAPA, serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University since August 2022, with a voluntary faculty appointment. Simultaneously, Elizabeth holds the position of Team Lead for the Adolescent Inpatient Unit and serves as the Adolescent Transitional Living Program Service Chief at Silver Hill Hospital since January 2018. Elizabeth has also contributed extensively to the American Psychiatric Association as the Past President of the Westchester District Branch since June 2011 and was the Medical Director at the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut from September 2009 to December 2017. Previous roles include consulting as a psychiatrist at The Children's Village and serving in multiple capacities at Westchester Medical Center, including Training Director for the Child and Adolescent Fellowship Program. Elizabeth’s educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Central del Este and psychiatric training from New York Medical College.
