Immacula Cann, DNP, RN works closely with the registered nurses and psychiatric technicians who make up the nursing staff at Silver Hill. She applies the theory of culture care to building and supervising a nursing community that embraces diversity and maximizes the quality of service delivery. Nursing staff help create and implement individualized approaches to patient care. This community of caring helps Silver Hill to stand out in the area of nursing care.

As the Chief Nursing Officer, Dr. Cann believes in a culture of professional development. Being present for the nursing staff serves as an opportunity to role model caring in an individualized and appropriate manner. “I believe that when nursing staff has an opportunity to grow and learn, the patients reap the benefits. Our goal as a department is to improve the quality of patients’ lives and help them take initial steps in their journey to recovery and restoration.”

She has worked in many capacities as a nurse with nursing leadership and education as a focus. Her understanding of the needs and goals of people seeking to improve their lives translates into a deeply caring Chief Nursing Officer.
