Don Sturek

Don Sturek has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Don worked as the Director of Standards and Technology at Silver Spring Networks starting from 2014. Before that, they co-founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer at Grid2Home, Inc. from 2009 to 2014. Don also held the position of Core Stack Working Group Chair at the ZigBee Alliance from 2003 to 2014. Don was the Smart Energy Platform Task Team Chair at ZigBee/HomePlug Alliance from 2008 to 2009. Don worked as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Texas Instruments from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they served as the CTO at Figure 8 Wireless from 2002 to 2006 and as VP-Engineering at WIDCOMM from 2000 to 2002 and at Simpact from 1996 to 2000. Don also worked as the Director of Engineering at Uniden from 1996 to 1998.

Don Sturek attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. During their studies, they focused on the fields of Computer Science and Math.
