Development Operations Engineer at SIMBA Chain

Sebastian Wyngaard has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Development Operations Engineer at SIMBA Chain since August 2020. Prior to that, they worked at the University of Notre Dame, serving as a Senior Research Programmer from August 2019 to August 2020, and as a Research Programmer from September 2017 to July 2019. Beginning in January 2008, Sebastian worked as a Research Scientist at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for six years. In this role, they designed and developed software pipelines for visualizing data sets in stereo 3D, installed and maintained parallel scientific applications on high-performance computing clusters, and resolved support tickets and queries related to scientific computing.

Sebastian Wyngaard completed their education in the field of Computer Science. In 2004, they enrolled at the University of Cape Town and obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in 2006. Sebastian further pursued their education at the same institution and completed a BSc Honours degree in Computer Science in 2007. In addition to their formal education, Sebastian also obtained the LPIC-1 certification from the Linux Professional Institute in March 2011.
