Aize Smink

Aize Smink currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Simbec-Orion, a position held since September 2021. Prior to this, Aize was Interim Chief Operating Officer at an undisclosed company from September 2021 to May 2022. From December 2015 to May 2021, Aize held the role of Chief Executive Officer at Julius Clinical, overseeing overall leadership, growth, and financial performance while collaborating on strategic planning for the company as a science-driven contract research organization (CRO). Aize's extensive experience includes significant leadership roles at Chiltern International, where Aize was a member of the Global Executive Board and led Global Clinical Development and Scientific Solutions, as well as positions at Charles River Laboratories and Inveresk. Aize holds an MSc in Biotechnology and Biochemistry from the University of Groningen, earned between 1984 and 1989.
