Shemar X

Shemar X, MSW, has extensive experience in social work, currently serving as a Child Protection Worker and After-Hours Worker with Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions since September 2018. Furthermore, Shemar is an active member of the Afri-Carib Can Connexions and One Vision One Voice initiatives. Prior experience includes working as a Relief Worker at Morton Youth Services, focusing on youth life skills and conflict management, as well as contributing as a Mobile Youth Ambassador for the Town of Innisfil to create youth programming. During an academic tenure at the Youth Wellness Lab, affiliated with the University of Toronto, Shemar engaged in research aimed at enhancing youth services. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work specializing in Children and their Families from the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor of Social Work from Lakehead University.
