Andrew Basham has a diverse work experience in the automotive industry. Andrew started their career as a Senior Accountant at Price Waterhouse in 1987 and worked there until 1991. Andrew then joined PrixCar Services as the State Manager for NSW from 1994 to 1996. After that, they worked at Volvo Cars Australia as the Product and Logistics Manager from 1996 to 2000. Andrew then moved on to Volvo Cars Japan, where they served as the Deputy to the Managing Director and Logistics Manager from 2001 to 2004. Following this, Andrew became the President of Volvo Car Taiwan, responsible for sales and marketing from 2004 to 2006. Andrew joined Lei Shing Hong Automobile as the Executive Director and then Managing Director, overseeing the retail and importation of various car brands across multiple countries. Finally, in 2018, they joined Sime Darby Motors as the Managing Director.
Andrew Basham began their education at St Peters College, where they completed Year 12 with a focus on Matriculation in the years 1978 to 1983. Later, from 1984 to 1986, they attended the University of Adelaide, earning a Bachelor of Economics with a specialization in Accounting. Finally, between 1988 and 1990, Andrew completed their Chartered Accountant qualification at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
