Adam Suffian Ali

Adam Suffian Ali has a diverse work experience in the finance and accounting field. Adam Suffian began their career at Genting Plantation Berhad as a Senior Internal Audit Executive, where they led audit teams and conducted investigations in property development, oil palm plantation, and golf course audits. Adam Suffian also gained experience in risk-based audits and trained as an internal quality auditor.

Adam then joined Sime Darby Berhad as a Senior Internal Audit Executive, where they carried out internal audits in various departments within the Plantation division. Adam Suffian also served as the Head of Finance and Accounting for Sime Darby Technology Berhad, managing the finance department and preparing budgets for research and development projects.

At Sime Darby Plantation Sdn Bhd, Adam worked as an Accountant, responsible for financial operations. Adam Suffian then moved on to become the Head of Finance at Sime Darby Seeds and Agriculture Service Sdn Bhd, overseeing finance and procurement functions for the seeds production business.

Currently, Adam serves as the Head of Finance at Sime Darby Plantation Research Sdn Bhd, where they manage financial operations and supports the research and development efforts of the company.

Adam Suffian Ali has a strong education history in the field of accountancy. Adam Suffian began their education at Sekolah Datuk Abdul Razak, where they completed their SPM degree in the Science stream from 1989 to 1993. Adam Suffian then pursued a Diploma in Accountancy at Institut Teknologi Mara from 1994 to 1997. Following that, Adam obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from Universiti Teknologi MARA, where they studied from 1997 to 2000.

Continuing their professional development, Adam enrolled in CPA Australia and earned a Professional degree in Accountancy from 2002 to 2008. During this time, they also obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification from CPA Australia in June 2008. Additionally, Adam achieved the Chartered Accountant certification from the Malaysia Institute of Accountant in June 2008.

Furthermore, Adam has acquired further certifications relevant to their field. Adam Suffian obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification from The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Malaysia in March 2021. These additional certifications demonstrate their commitment to staying current and expanding their expertise in the field of accountancy.
