Steve Burr has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Steve started their career as an Account Executive at Ameriquest Mortgage in 2002 and later became a Manager at Pilgrim Financial in 2003. In 2004, they joined Ameriquest Mortgage again, this time as a Senior Account Executive.

In 2006, Steve joined nSphere as a Product Manager, where they built and managed local content pages for over 2,000 websites, generating significant revenue for clients. Steve stayed with the company until 2012.

From 2011 to 2020, Steve served as a Product Manager and Product Marketing Manager at Survey.com, an on-demand retail services platform. Steve played a crucial role in connecting consumer brands with local merchandising contractors and ensuring quality work through technology.

In 2020, Steve joined Trax Retail as VP Crowd Operations, DMX Americas. Steve was responsible for managing Trax's merchandising supplier network and meeting client demand. Steve later became the VP Global Crowd Collection, focusing on acquisition and retention strategies.

Currently, Steve is the Chief Strategy Officer at Simera, where they develop, communicates, and executes strategies to drive the adoption and growth of their remote employment marketplace platform. Their responsibilities include candidate supply, product improvement, operations, education and training, and marketing efforts.

From 1997 to 2001, Steve Burr attended the University of Vermont, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology.
