Micaela Roughton possesses extensive experience in higher education and non-profit sectors with a focus on accessibility and program development. Currently, Micaela serves as the Associate Director of Accessibility at Simon Fraser University, while also acting as Associate Director for the Centre for Accessible Learning. Micaela leads Global Village trips for Habitat for Humanity Canada and is the Founder and Chair of Homes of Joy. Previous roles include Senior Academic Success Manager at Fraser International College and multiple leadership positions at Simon Fraser University, including Associate Director of Community & Belonging. Micaela has also held positions at the University of Victoria, Free The Children, and War Child Canada, contributing to program design and youth empowerment initiatives.
