Taylor Carnes

Taylor Carnes is a Junior Account Manager at Simon Sinek's The Optimism Company, starting in December 2023. Previously, Taylor served as Assistant Director for LA Opera's production of The Barber of Seville and held various roles at the University of North Texas, including UNT Opera Assistant Director and Graduate Teaching Assistant from August 2021 to August 2023. Significant projects include directing Trouble in Tahiti, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Carmen, as well as assisting in notable productions like The Pearl Fishers and Katya Kabanova. Taylor's early career includes positions with Simon Sinek Inc. as Facilitator and Head Zoom Producer, and experience in stage management for multiple operas. Taylor holds a Graduate Artist Certificate in Music Performance with a focus on Opera Directing from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of the Pacific.
