Chen Lin is a Research Fellow in 3D Computer Vision at the Simons Foundation, contributing to advancements in pose estimation and 3D mapping through the development of innovative algorithms and systems, including a customized SLAM system and novel rotation representation integrated into the PointNet architecture. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles, while completing a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics, and holding roles at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and Purdue University, where expertise was gained in computational chemical theories, molecular dynamics simulations, and quantum modeling. Chen Lin holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics from Purdue University.
