Kevin Flessa

Kevin Flessa has a varied work experience, beginning with a role as a Counterboy at Joeys Pizza in 2009. Kevin then moved on to a Lifeguard role at Gilbert Lake State Park in 2013, followed by a Graduate Teaching Assistant role at Long Island University in 2015. In 2017, they worked as an Analytical Chemist at Vartest Laboratories, a Research Assistant at Stevens Institute of Technology, and a Chemist at the FDA. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer at Simple Fractal. At the FDA, they utilized analytical instrumentation to analyze medications, developed solutions using JavaScript, Python, and R, created and maintained SharePoint databases and PowerApps solutions, and created and maintained electronic worksheet solutions. At SUNY College at Oneonta, they developed a technique for creating Thiosemicarbazones using lactic acid, developed documentation for undergraduate students, applied classification techniques, and presented results as a poster presentation.

Kevin Flessa has a diverse educational background. Kevin is currently attending Fullstack Academy to pursue a degree in Fullstack Development. Kevin previously obtained a Master's Degree in Chemistry from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2017. From 2015-2016, they attended Long Island University to study Chemistry. Kevin obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from SUNY Oneonta in 2015. Additionally, they have obtained a Lifeguard and Redcross training in CPR certification from the American Red Cross.
