Sean Ottomanelli began their career in 2010 as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at the New York Power Authority, where they were responsible for updating piping and instrumentation diagrams to reflect current conditions for multiple systems at two 1,000 MW facilities. In 2014, they moved to Syska Hennessy Group, where they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. Sean then joined BuroHappold Engineering in 2015, where they held the roles of Graduate Mechanical Engineer (E1), Mechanical Engineer (E2), and Senior Mechanical Engineer (E3). Finally, in 2022, they began their current role as a Junior Fullstack Software Engineer at Simple Fractal.
Sean Ottomanelli received their Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics from Tulane University in 2013. Sean then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Energy Systems Concentration from Columbia University, which they completed in 2014. In 2021, they enrolled in the Flatiron School for Computer Software Engineering.
