Caila Criss has been in the workforce since 2013. Caila started their career as a Peer Mentor and Tutor at Colorado College Intensive English Institute. After that, they worked as a Peer Tutor at Ruth Barton Writing Center. In 2014, they joined DSST Public Schools as a Front Office Manager, Office Assistant, and Public Interest Fellowship Program Fellow. Caila then moved to Guild Education in 2018, where they held the roles of Academic Operations Associate, Senior Student Operations Specialist, and Enrollment Advisor. Most recently, they have been an Operations Manager at Simple Homes since 2021.

Caila Criss attended Colorado College from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology and Education. In 2012, they studied Sociology at the University of Limerick.
