Greg Kontos has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Greg currently serves as a Digital Innovation Lead at Simple Thread since January 2023. Greg started their career at Innovative Diagnostic Laboratory as an LMS Integration Specialist from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, Greg worked as a Mechanical Engineer Manager at Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. from 2012 to 2014. Greg also worked as a Lead Java Developer at Ideaweavers from 2007 to 2010, where they were involved in Java-based software development for business management and project communication tools.
Greg Kontos completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Anthropology and Biology at William & Mary from 1996 to 1999. Subsequently, they pursued a degree in Visual Anthropology at the Anthropology Film Center from 1999 to 2000. In 2009, they enrolled at VCU and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering in 2012. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Greg studied Biology at Virginia Tech from 1995 to 1996.
In terms of additional certifications, Greg obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate credential from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2018. Furthermore, in June 2022, they successfully completed the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from AWS.
