Javier Santana

Javier Santana has a diverse work history in the education field. Javier is currently the Head of Didactics at simpleclub, a position they started in April 2022. Prior to this, Javier worked at Lingoda GmbH from 2016 to 2022, where they held several roles. From September 2019 to April 2022, they served as the Head of Digital Education, overseeing instructional design, curriculum development, and educational content management. Before that, they were the Team Lead Digital Education from August 2018 to September 2019, responsible for leading and supervising the production of interactive content and new lessons. From June 2017 to August 2018, Javier was the Team Lead Didactics, managing the execution of the Curriculum 2.0 Production Project. Javier started their tenure at Lingoda as the Didactics Team Manager from September 2016 to June 2017, where they managed a team of freelancers and launched the Curriculum 2.0 Production Project. Prior to their time at Lingoda, Javier worked as a Freelance Teacher from 2011 to 2016, teaching Spanish and German language courses using a communicative approach.

Javier Santana completed a Bachelor's degree (Licenciatura) in Philosophy from Universitat de Barcelona from 2008 to 2012. In 2015 to 2016, they enrolled in Teacher Training at Instituto Cervantes, Berlin, specializing in Spanish Language Teacher Education. Javier obtained additional certifications such as Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (DALF) C1 from Institut français in March 2016, Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH) 3/C2 from Freie Universität Berlin in September 2012, and EF Cambridge English Test (EFCELT) C1 from EF Education First in August 2010.
