Maria Intscher-Owrang

Maria Intscher-Owrang has extensive experience in the fashion industry. Maria is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Simplifyber starting from December 2020. Maria is also an Advisory Board Member at REFASHIOND OS since March 2021. In 2019, Maria was a Founding Member at Chief, an organization that empowers women. Maria held the role until January 2023. Maria's previous experience includes working as the Vice President/Design Director RTW at Vera Wang from December 2014 to December 2020. Maria also worked as a Women's Designer (Runway) at Calvin Klein from March 2012 to November 2014. Maria has held various design roles in companies like John Richmond, Edun Americas Inc, Linda Loudermilk - Loudermilk Inc., and STRENESSE AG before starting their own venture as the Creative Director/Owner at Maria Intscher from October 2000 to September 2006. Their career started as a Senior Designer at STRENESSE AG from April 1999 to September 2000.

Maria Intscher-Owrang has a strong background in fashion education. Maria first pursued their studies at the University of Northampton from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained an HND Design degree in Fashion. Following this, they furthered their knowledge and skills by attending Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London, from 1995 to 1997, earning a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Fashion (Womenswear). In February 2020, Maria also obtained a certification as an American Mensa Member from the American Mensa institution.
