Amit Prakash

Amit Prakash serves as a Professor and Convenor at the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore, leading the Centre for Accessibility in the Global South and the Centre for IT and Public Policy. Amit co-founded Vembi Technologies, which develops affordable assistive technology for visually impaired students, and Vision Empower, a not-for-profit focused on accessible education for children with visual impairments in India. Prior to these roles, Amit held management consulting positions at Deloitte India and PricewaterhouseCoopers India, as well as team coordinator at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing. Amit completed a Fellowship in Management at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
