Jose Maria Blas MEng, MPM, PMP, CSSBB has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jose Maria is the founder, technical director, and production manager of Ekström Furniture, where they focus on reinventing the handcrafted furniture manufacturing process to provide sustainable, unique, and affordable furniture. In addition, they have worked as a Project Management Professional Instructor at The Knowledge Academy and as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Sr. Instructor at Simplilearn. Jose Maria also founded Effikaz and served as the head instructor and processes improver, providing training and consultation in various methodologies such as project management, Six Sigma, and Lean Six Sigma. Prior to that, they worked as an Operations Project Manager at Roca Sanitario, S.A., where they drove projects from business case study to start of production. Jose Maria also gained experience as an Operations Engineering In-house Consultant at HP, where they focused on optimizing product launches and maintaining superior quality standards. Additionally, they worked as a Process Engineer at Metaldyne, responsible for manufacturing process validation, and as a Mechanical Engineer intern at Vepak. Jose also served as a Teaching Assistant at Høgskolen i Sør-Trøndelag. Jose Maria Blas has a strong educational background and several certifications. Jose Maria obtained a Master's Degree in Project Management from EAE Business School in 2016. Prior to that, they completed another Master's Degree in Product Engineering and Manufacturing Processes from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2015.

In 2014, Jose pursued an ERASMUS Exchange at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng).
