About The Role Simplist is a startup with a high-growth trajectory. We’re looking for an experienced Head of People to develop and scale our Recruitment, People Ops, and HR practices that will allow us to achieve this rapid growth. The Head of People will work directly with our leadership team to ensure our success around all things people, as this role is foundational to our plans for expansion in the coming months and years. We’re looking for someone adept at shaping cross-functional team culture at a startup with a hybrid workforce. A successful Head of People at Simplist drives evidence-based innovation to build our employer brand, as we strive to be a top tech employer with an exemplar culture.

Key Duties

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure that Simplist is a top place to work as we scale.
  • Focus on consistently improving onboarding, training, performance management, and compensation strategy.
  • Champion a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
  • Help map out headcount plans.
  • Develop recruiting practices to support Simplist’s values and evolving business needs while cultivating exceptional candidate experiences.
  • Manage and scale Simplist’s talent acquisition and HR functions.
  • Implement strategies that help us scale while maintaining core values and spirit.
  • Meet KPIs around hiring, retention, and employee satisfaction.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance the employee experience and foster a close-knit team.
  • Cultivate our online presence with online job resources, ensuring Simplist’s profile is up to date and reflects achievements.
  • Deploy and administer HR, Benefits, and Recruiting software while maintaining vendor relationships. Be constantly on the lookout for cutting-edge programs and tech.

About You

  • 10+ years demonstrated experience across People Ops, HR, and Recruiting, with 5+ years in a leadership role at a tech startup or similar fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing a large non-exempt workforce
  • Ability to use and monitor data in making and evaluating decisions
  • Strong communication, people management, and coaching skills across seniority and function
  • Familiarity working with all major HR and recruiting software (JustWorks [PEO], Lever [ATS], Hiretual, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree
