Amar Shah

Amar Shah has served as the VP of Platform Technology and Head of Engineering Excellence at Simply Business since May 2008, leading initiatives focused on engineering quality and process design. Amar initially managed the Core Platform team and currently oversees Product Fit and Insurer Engagement, guiding over eight product engineering teams across various locations including the UK, US, Poland, and Ukraine. Previous roles include Acting VP of Engineering in the US, where Amar collaborated with the Group CEO to adapt the global platform for the US market, and Engineering Manager, providing technical leadership and architectural guidance. Amar's career began in software development roles at companies such as Descartes Systems Group, Global Freight Exchange, Pertmaster, and Pfizer, following a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from Aston University.
