Swapneel Mehta

Swapneel Mehta currently serves as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Questrom School of Business, Boston University, and holds a staff position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Institute for Digital Economy. In addition to advisory roles in the Integrity Institute's Community Leadership Council and as a Responsible Tech Affiliate with All Tech Is Human, Swapneel is a Postdoctoral Research Affiliate at NYU's Center for Social Media and Politics, where contributions include analyzing the impact of Twitter’s interventions on political misinformation. As the founder of SimPPL, a nonprofit research collective focused on responsible computing, Swapneel works on developing LLM-based chatbots. Previous experience includes a Data Science Internship at Slack and leading organizational efforts at NYU AI School. Swapneel obtained a PhD from NYU Center for Data Science and a Bachelor of Engineering from Mumbai University.
