Mayra Xara

Mayra Xara is an experienced Human Resources professional with a significant background in managing HR functions in legal and startup environments. Currently serving as Human Resources Manager at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP since June 2014, Mayra has achieved two promotions and oversees HR and payroll services for 40 staff members supporting 80 attorneys in the Palo Alto office while leading a team of 12. Prior experience includes roles at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where responsibilities encompassed recruiting, performance evaluations, and training, and ProCo Insurance Services, where Mayra supported executive leadership in establishing HR processes. Mayra holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
