Are Magnus Bruaset

Are Magnus Bruaset has held various roles throughout their extensive work experience. Are Magnus is currently serving as the Research Director at Simula Research Laboratory, where they have also been the Leader of eX3, the national research infrastructure for experimental HPC since December 2017. In addition, they are an Adjunct Professor at the University of Oslo since January 1999.

Bruaset has also been involved in several advisory and board positions. Are Magnus is a Member of the EuroHPC Research and Innovation Advisory Group (RIAG) at EuroHPC Joint Undertaking since April 2022. Are Magnus is a Member of the National Reference Group for Horizon Europe (Cluster 4 - Digital, Industry and Space) at Norges forskningsråd since June 2020. Are Magnus is a Member of the Editorial Board for ERCIM News at ERCIM since August 2019. Additionally, Bruaset has experience in executive roles, having been the Chief Executive Officer of Kalkulo AS from October 2017 to June 2019. Kalkulo AS is a commercial subsidiary of Simula Research Laboratory that specializes in advanced software development services primarily for the energy sector.

Are Magnus Bruaset's education history begins in 1982 when they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Møre and Romsdal Regional College. Are Magnus went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Numerical Analysis at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 1985 to 1988. Are Magnus'seducational journey concluded with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematical Modeling, which they obtained from the University of Oslo (UiO) from 1990 to 1993.
