John Lavoie-Mayer

John Lavoie-Mayer is an FEA Engineer at SimuTech Group, an Ansys Elite Partner, since June 2023. Prior to this role, John served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Toyota from September 2014 to August 2022, focusing on vehicle performance development and crashworthiness evaluation, including FEA performance development in LS-Dyna and physical testing for vehicle collisions. John's earlier experience includes a position as a Graduate Student Research Assistant and Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan, where John taught Introduction to Statics. Additionally, John completed a mechanical engineering internship at Harris Corporation in the summer of 2012. Educationally, John holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, attained in 2014, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completed in 2013.
