Ann Wehmeyer

Ann Wehmeyer currently serves as the System Director of Quality and Patient Safety and Medication Safety Officer at Sinai Chicago since September 2018, where responsibilities include facilitating patient safety enhancements and leading initiatives to reduce medical errors. Previously, Ann worked as a Clinical and Patient Safety Specialist at VigiLanz from 2017 to 2018 and held the position of Senior Patient Safety Specialist at Rush University Medical Center from 2001 to 2017, focusing on adverse events analysis and process improvements. Additional roles include Fellow in the Patient Safety Leadership Fellowship program from 2010 to 2011 and Adverse Drug Event Coordinator at North Shore University Hospital from 1998 to 2001, where Ann developed systems for managing adverse drug events. Ann holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from UIC School of Public Health, a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University.
