Russell M. Fiorella

Russell Fiorella, MD, MBA, FCAP, FACHE, is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Sinai Health System as well as the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chairman for the Department of Pathology at Sinai Health System. He has over 30 years of healthcare experience.

Dr. Fiorella earned his Medical Degree (M.D) from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in healthcare delivery systems from Avila University in Kansas City. He is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as specialty boarded in Cytopathology. He is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists as well as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Dr. Fiorella has special interests in both gynecologic and breast pathology and has authored over 20 articles and book chapters in peer-reviewed publications. He was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Upsher Laboratories, a multi‐state regional lab. He was also System Medical Director for Hospital Corporation of America’s (HCA) for the eastern Florida peninsula. HCA is the largest provider of healthcare services in the United States with over 268 national and international hospitals.
