Maria Fujihara is the founder and CEO of SINAI Technologies, a company that uses exponential technology to develop moonshot innovations addressing humanity’s grand challenges.

Previously, Maria was with Singularity University, where they worked on their Global Solutions Program and SU Ventures incubator. Maria was also with Project Drawdown, where they served as a Coalition Advisor. In this role, they helped assemble and present the best available information on climate solutions.

Maria is passionate about using technology to make a positive impact on the world. Maria is a strong advocate for using exponential technologies to solve global problems.

Maria Fujihara first attended Y Combinator's W20 batch in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. Maria then pursued a Master's degree in Cities Management and Planning at Universidade de São Paulo. Later, they completed an Architecture and Urban Planning Degree with a focus on Sustainability Studies at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Additionally, Maria holds a Theirtory of Art degree from Universitat de Barcelona. Finally, they have a High School diploma from Colégio Visconde de Porto Seguro. Maria also has two professional certifications: one from the DGNB German Sustainable Building Council as a DGNB Consultant, and another from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) as a LEED Green Associate.
